PhD in paediatric liver transplantation (University Catholique de Louvain, Brussels) | Fellowship in paediatric hepatology and gastroenterology (Brussels, Belgium) | European board certification in transplantation medicine (UEMS) | DNB (Paediatrics) | MBBS (LLRM medical college, Meerut)​

A paediatric hepatologist with a vast and international experience in caring for children with liver problems. Dr Sharat Varma is an expert in managing children with liver diseases (genetic or acquired) and liver transplantation. He has many international scientific publications and has delivered numerous talks in Europe and USA. After having trained at the finest centres in India and Europe, he worked in the biggest paediatric transplant centre of Europe in Belgium and also led research projects in genetic liver diseases, fibrosis and liver stem cell transplantation. He is proficient in doing endoscopic procedures and liver biopsies.
